Job Title: Truck Engine Mechanic
Location: Kheda Delhi
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
Job Summary: The Truck Engine Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining truck engines to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves identifying engine problems, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring that engines operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Engine Inspection and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests to identify engine issues.
Inspect and evaluate engine systems, including fuel injection, turbochargers, cooling systems, and electrical components.
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
Engine Repair and Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and engine tune-ups.
Repair or replace damaged or faulty engine components, such as pistons, rings, gaskets, turbochargers, and valves.
Overhaul and rebuild engines, including disassembling and reassembling engines as needed.
Ensure all repairs are performed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Testing and Quality Control:
Test engines after repairs to ensure proper functioning and adherence to performance standards.
Make necessary adjustments and tune-ups to optimize engine performance.
Provide feedback on recurring engine issues and suggest improvements.
Safety and Documentation:
Adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, diagnostic findings, and repairs completed.
Stay updated on new engine technologies and repair techniques.
Experience and Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Diploma or technical certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology preferred.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and engine repair equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and technical analysis abilities.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Skills:
Deep knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment and work in various environments.
