Our Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert County, Ohio creates, cooks, and slices some of the highest quality deli products on the market for brands you know and trust. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Truck Shop Mechanic to join our team in Van Wert.
The primary goal of this position is to assist the Van Wert truck shop with trailers maintenance and any other necessary tasks.
SHIFT HOURS:Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (training hours 7:00am-3:30pm)
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $20.00 - $25.00/hr (dependent upon experience)
PERKS:Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
• Maintaining refrigerated semi-trailers, hog trailers, and feed trailers
• Servicing company vehicles as needed
• Driving fork lift and spotter trucks once trained
• Servicing company tools as needed
• Minor building repairs
• Unloading parts, steel or other items and organizing them
• Picking up trash and maintaining grounds
• Cleaning tools
• Work with manager to set repair priorities and follow through for completion
