Job Description: Project Manager - SAP
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid Work Model)
Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in SAP to lead and deliver projects in the IT and business domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems, with additional expertise in supply chain and SAP Ariba as a plus. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, communicating project status, risks, and issues transparently.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication across all levels.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of project deliverables, conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Budget & Resource Management: Oversee project finances, monitoring expenditures and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Change Management: Manage project scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder communication.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
SAP Expertise:
• Extensive experience in implementing and managing SAP systems, including SAP architecture, integration, and best practices.
• Strong technical understanding of SAP modules, functionalities, and system landscapes.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba and supply chain management is highly desirable.
Project Management Experience:
• Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects, particularly in SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), tools (MS Project, JIRA), and best practices.
• Excellent skills in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align project outcomes with business goals.
• Expertise in advanced risk management techniques, including quantitative risk analysis and contingency planning.
Good to Have:
SAP Ariba Knowledge: Experience with SAP Ariba modules and procurement solutions.
Supply Chain Management: Familiarity with supply chain processes and systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in SAP projects.
• PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
