Role Overview
The SOC L2 Analyst provides advanced security monitoring, incident investigation, and escalation. The role involves validating alerts from L1, performing deep-dive analysis, coordinating containment, and supporting detection improvements in line with compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Validate and investigate alerts from SIEM (Cortex XDR / QRadar / Sentinel).
Perform in-depth event correlation across firewall, proxy, and EDR/XDR sources.
Execute incident response actions and escalate to L3 as per process.
Use Palo Alto TIP and Izoologic DRM for threat enrichment.
Recommend SIEM rule tuning and support use-case enhancements.
Prepare daily / incident / RCA reports.
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and RBI guidelines during investigations.
Skills & Competencies
Strong grasp of SOC processes, MITRE ATT&CK, and incident lifecycle.
Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, and network log analysis.
Solid analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with client and MSSP teams in 24×7 operations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT / Cybersecurity.
1–3 years SOC or incident response experience (preferably BFSI or MSSP).
Preferred Certifications: Security+, CEH,
