We’re seeking for an experienced TTM Technical Service Manager to join our Auckland Traffic Team. This pivotal role involves leading, mentoring, and nurturing a talented group of TTM technical professionals.
Your expertise in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM), especially NZGTTM and CoPTTM standards, will guide the preparation, review, and authorisation of TTM plans, TMPs, and risk assessments for both local and motorway projects.
You’ll champion continuous improvement, rollout of RBTTM competencies, and the adoption of new technologies and digital tools. Financial acumen and commercial awareness will be key to achieving budget targets and maintaining cost efficiency, while never compromising on safety or compliance.
In addition to the above you will:
Lead and develop the TTM technical team; Designers and Planners
Provide expert advice on TTM standards (NZGTTM, CoPTTM - contract specifications)
Liaise with internal project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, and authorities regarding solutions and requirements
Oversee the review, preparation, and authorisation of TTM plans, TMPs, risk assessments, and site setups
Drive improvements in design, documentation, and delivery of TTM technical services
Implement new technologies, systems, and digital tools to increase efficiency and safety
Exercise sound financial acumen to ensure budget targets are achieved

We’re looking for someone with:
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, transport, or similar is desirable
5 years’ experience drawing TMPs for local and motorway
Prior people management experience leading and mentoring teams
Strong knowledge of relevant TTM standards (NZGTTM / CoPTTM, local standards
Proficient in Rapidplan or AUTO CAD software
Holds a Class 1 Full NZ Drivers licence
Good understanding of HSE obligations and risk management in the road corridor.
WKNZTA Temporary Barrier design and installation qualification (desired but not essential)
