Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and passionate tutors to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic growth. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress to ensure that all learners achieve their full potential.
We also need some administration staff to provide the support to parents and communication with schools and communities.
Responsibilities
Create a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Develop teaching materials and other resources for program delivery
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Provide tutoring assistance using lessons, discussions, presentations
Teacher up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, and projects.
Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents or guardians.
Skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Proficiency in using technology for teaching purposes, including educational software and online resources.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and personally.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Good knowledge of Ontario Curriculum(K-12)
Teaching certification is an asset
Experience:
1 year+ experience teaching/tutoring at K-12
Experience of teaching Test Preparation courses (IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge), University Pathways, Business courses is an asset
