Job Description We are seeking a UAV Flight Line Operators who have sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills and high standards. Success will require attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for operations of our Aerial Targets (“AT”) during company and customer campaigns and to ensure that the missions are completed as per customer requirements. This candidate is expected to work closely with engineering and other teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities • Setup: Set up of Ops Site for conducting operations including handling logistics and documentation. • Assembly: Assemble the ATs; Assemble the GCS and Target Launcher • Take Off: Conduct pre-flight inspection with ATs, Work with Flight Controllers to launch ATs, Prepare ground equipment for launching the ATs and inbound ATs • Drone & Technical Maintenance: Perform AT field maintenance, repair any AT that have experienced incidents and prepare ATs for repeat missions. Perform Launcher and GSE field maintenance • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with engineering team to troubleshoot & optimize issues • Integration: Integration of ATs at the Facility during non campaign periods Requirements • Hands-On Attitude: Must enjoy hands-on work and be adept at working with mechanical or electrical systems • Strength: You will be lifting up to 50lbs. objects regularly • Poise: Maintain a cool head under high pressure situations • Extremely process & detail-oriented • Must be able to travel 30% – 40%, as necessary • Ability to maintain focus during extended daily flight operations • Comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with complex, battery-operated machinery • Proficiency in spoken and written English • Proficiency in spoken and written English Preferred Qualifications • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering OR • 3+ years working experience as a Maintenance Technician for Aircrafts, Power Turbines, Mining Equipment, or other Complex Technical Equipment What to Expect You will receive training with the rest of the Flight Ops team to learn on the job. You will become a certified Flight Op professional – Being able to handle Launcher Setup, Pre-flight, Post-flight, preparing and Launching ATs, and incident response alone, and have a thorough understanding of Kadet DS hardware. You will have mastered vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting recurring incidents and processes. You will be responsible to contribute regarding process and vehicle improvements. You will be looked to as someone looked at as a leader for the UAS Facility, fielding questions from your team and helping onboard new apprentices coming on-board Location: Bengaluru with Initial Training to be conducted in Kolkata.
