About the role
Providing support and undertaking nursing care for consumers under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. Under supervision will support person and family centred, quality, safe patient care, whilst gaining increased knowledge and understanding the function of the organisation, healthcare teams and the profession of nursing.
About you

Ability to demonstrate to follow direction and seek advice from the Registered Nurse, practicing within scope of practice.
Ability to work as a team member to achieve clinical and organisational goals.
Ability to effectively prioritise and manage own time and exceed consumer expectations, with an enthusiastic, calm and flexible approach.
Supports and respects the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to achieve common goals.
A strong understanding of the relevant standards and processes and actively identifies areas for improvement, planning and acting to resolve issues with an awareness of community needs.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Enrolment within the second year of a Registered Nurse program with successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
