Were currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant, Property Global, Facilities& Schemes to support our Property Underwriting team in delivering outstanding customer experiences and strong portfolio performance. In this role, youll assist with underwriting and processing Property business, help meet profit and retention targets, and build strong relationships with our broker and partner network. This is a full-time permanent role based in Naarm (Melbourne).
What You'll Do
Process and manage new business, renewals, endorsements and policy adjustments across Property portfolios.
Support Underwriters by providing administrative and underwriting assistance within set authorities and guidelines.
Produce policy documents, update customer information, process premium transactions, and action survey and claims report requests.
Contribute to renewal retention and profitability targets through proactive followups and effective daytoday policy management.
Provide feedback on market pricing and competitor activity to support business planning and decisionmaking.
Manage credit services tasks, including resolving premium issues, actioning credit control reports and liaising with customers on credit matters.
What You'll Bring
Previous customer service experience (preferred).
Minimum 12 months experience or exposure to general insurance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High accuracy and attention to detail with strong administrative capability.
Ability to work collaboratively across underwriting, broker, risk, claims and portfolio teams.
Capability in risk analysis, information capture and understanding insurance product features.
