We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to complete inspections on infrastructure construction projects. What You'll Be Doing: Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications. Performs inspection activities which may include the following: Demolition of transportation facilities (roads, streets, bridges etc.) Construction of roads, bridges, and other associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping) Drainage work, traffic control, compliance with storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) requirements Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering, and street lighting Irrigation and planting Roadway and overhead sign removal and installation Installation on temporary and permanent signs and delineation Installation of mechanical equipment Building and facility construction and associated site development Captures project photographs on a daily basis; file/organize Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and writes daily diaries. Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract. Verifies only approved materials are incorporated in the work. Recognizes potential conflicts, issues, and problems; identifies possible solutions and advises supervisor. Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work. Complete compaction testing as required by the Contract What Required Skills You'll Bring: High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in a technical discipline/construction-related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of related experience on field projects Ability to work cohesively in a team and/or dynamic work environment Ability to mentor/guide others in work duties/processes Ability to climb ladders, inspect work above ground, and work in confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (i.e., lifting materials used for testing of concrete, AC, etc.) Ability to use good judgement and work with others Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred Construction safety training, including 10 hours of OSHA training, is desired Ontario G Class Driver's license Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
