Job Description
Secondary school diploma required.
Recent experience as a Unit Clerk or other clerical experience.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Computer skills with proficiency using email and Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level required.
Knowledge of medical terminology required with a Certificate in Medical Terminology preferred.
Working knowledge of Meditech, MediPay, and Teletracking preferred.
Basic mathematical/numerical skills and experience ordering supplies.
Polite & efficient telephone manner.
Proven ability to work independently and show initiative.
Able to work well under pressure & co-operate with all Health Centre staff and patients.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work in an environment with death and dying issues.
Satisfactory attendance record.
