Age: Between 28 to 38 years
Education: Graduate, MBA [institute ranking from 20 to 40]
Experience: 3 to 5 years as a sales executive in a medium size [300 to 800 crores]
FMCG. He should have managed a team of 5 to 7 company paid sales people in his
current assignment.
Salary: 30,000 – 45,000
Company identity: Regional if food company or National If FMCG.
Brand name: Reputed.
Service gap: Nil.
Geographical working experience: Indore, MP, Chhattisgarh.
Job profile: Field job.
Proficiency of language: Good command in speaking and writing in English and
Hindi.
Head quarter: Currently Indore but transferable to other location.
The role: Deliver work plan [We call it OGSM]
1. Achieving revenue goals - Target fixation based on potential of each sales
territory. Ability to sales planning and forecast sales for the unit and deliver
with accuracy. Achieving target driven by deadline. Consistently achieves
great sales results with sales team.
2. Achieving distribution goals- Set coverage targets for each sales territory
based on opportunities and guidelines .Appointment of stockists and ensure
coverage and manpower deployment as per work plan objective . Open the
new distribution channels.
3. Execute promotion plan at retail to create sales driven demand.
4. Achieve segment wise outlet target as per work plan guidelines through the
sales team.
5. Develop and execute Sales Process –Develop sales processed for each
element of sales related activity, fix and assign role of each team member,
test the initiative and fix measures of performance before implementing any
initiatives.

6. Achieving Sales Leadership - Lead the sales team driven by actions. Build
attitude of trust, confidence, and respect. Develop and deploy resources to
achieve best out of every team member. Establish firm command over the
team by exercising the power of knowledge, behavioural attributes and
motivation. Hold the team to a higher level of accountability and consistently
measured against their quota and work plan. Establish the culture of
leadership in every aspect of sales process.
7. Recruiting, and Hiring - Hire lower label people with quality, talent, skills,
and abilities for current and future needs. Focus on hiring
salespeople who are skilful, builders of relationships and are persuasive.
Recommend to assign tasks based on best suited sales talent.
8. Training and Coaching- Coaches and builds a team, so that it is more
effective at achieving the OGSM. Provide functional training to upgrade
knowledge and systematic and uniform working to sales people. Developing
skills and techniques to train, coach and develop the team to manage current
and future responsibilities.
+. Strategic leadership. Devise from strategy a robust sales plan to defeat the
competition. Plotting the best course of action to maximize revenue. Using the
most cost-effective sales model. Develop plan to execute Strategies. Ability to
motivate and inspire people to engage with work plan and manage delivery of
the OGSM.
10. Technology Management –Knowledge of word and excel sheet. Full use of
software in Data collection, analyse of data, and make a sound plan based on
available opportunities that deliver superior sales results.

evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment and come out with alternatives
and solutions. Ability to analyses business within parameters of basic business
analysis,

Visionary thinking: Ability to conceptualise what is been said, create mental
picture to visualise and then convert physically. Ability to accomplishment of their

individual Goals to company's Goals. Focus on the Future: Responsible for driving
business into the future and moving forward.
Communication and motivation: Ability to communicate that influence the
individual team member to make a person to act. Ability to persuade and influence
people to help achieve desired results within a specific plan, Communicate the plan
with conviction and clear objectives to foster commitment of the team. Ability to

develop sales plan from sales strategy and communicate to team and confirm if they
have clearly understood. Ability to communicate policies and process to the team
and take alignment of understanding. Able to communicate a collective sense of
purpose behind every initiative, and inspires confidence in the team. Ability to
motivate team to improve efficiencies for getting better affectivity and productivity of
team.
Operational: Ability to solve day to day operational problems of team and
distributors and run the business smoothly.
Decision making: Ability to make decisions on day to day basis by applying
decision making principles.
Relationship oriented: Ability to Foster productive relationships with your
managers, colleagues, subordinates and associates. Ability to get along well with
other people, and on the quality of your relationships.
Time management: Ability to determining the amount of time to spend on any
activity requires good judgment.
Managerial abilities
Executing: Ability to work with his team in the market and make skilful contribution
Ability to have objective for each market visit, make meaningful, valuable and
specific contribution that improve business or organization capacity. Intention should
focus on business building and sales capacity building.
Reporting: Ability to explain each report format with objectives, get accurately and
completely filled reports from the team. Ability to getting purpose behind each report
and make the report used by sales team.
Reviewing:
Ability to conduct weekly and monthly review meeting with specific agenda points
Learning:
Ability to prepare learning after each meeting and taking corrective steps
