Job Description
Ready to build a meaningful career in planning?
Join one of Perth’s leading planning and design consultancies where you’ll work on real projects from day one, learn from some of the best minds in the industry, and grow faster than you thought possible. We’re looking for an Urban Planner to join TBB Planning at the Consultant level—someone who’s curious, motivated, and ready to contribute to future-focused projects that shape great places and deliver lasting outcomes.
Why TBB?
At TBB, you’ll:
Work on projects that shape WA’s most dynamic urban and regional environments.
Learn from a close-knit team of bold thinkers, creative problem-solvers and passionate planners.
Build your career with clear progression, real support and a culture that invests in YOU.
Gain exposure to clients, panels and stakeholders as your confidence and capability grow.
Make a meaningful impact – your work will help shape how people live, work, move and connect.
What you’ll do:
No two days are the same. You’ll be:
Supporting the preparation of development applications, structure plans and planning reports.
Working across statutory and strategic planning, with exposure to urban design, engagement and placemaking.
Assisting with masterplanning for new growth communities and precincts across WA.
Undertaking research and analysis to support project teams and senior planners.
Building your professional networks within the planning and development industry, government agencies and co-consultants.
Liaising directly with clients.
Learning from experienced planners through day-to-day collaboration and structured mentoring.
What we’re looking for:
We’d love to hear from you if you’re:
Curious, collaborative and up for a challenge.
Degree-qualified (or close to completion) in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
Bringing some experience in statutory and/or strategic planning (through work, internships or placements).
Keen to develop your project skills and build strong client relationships over time.
A strong communicator – written, verbal and visual – and eager to keep improving.
What you’ll get:
A tailored professional development plan and budget.
Support through our Culture of Learning and mentorship from senior leaders.
Flexible work options, competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
A supportive, social team culture (with barista-style coffee, of course).
Milestone bonuses, a day off at Christmas, and opportunities to get involved in industry events and committees.
You’ll be part of a team that genuinely values you—100% of our team said they feel valued in our latest survey.
