Assistant Fashion Designer
Job Description:
• Liaise closely with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure items meet customer, market, and price points.
• Check patterns cut and sewn into sample garments and mass production.
• Establish best-in-class design and merchandising process across denim product category.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in selecting fabric, trims, styles, and accessories for development samples.
• Understand technical guidelines from various departments while selecting style, fabric, and trims for bulk production feasibility.
• Create/visualize ideas and produce designs by hand sketch or using computer-based software.
• Work with the design team, product development, and forecasters to develop products meeting briefs.
Requirements:
• Experience of 3-4 years in designing menswear (denim category).
• Fashion graduate/postgraduate from NIFT.
