Position: Cyber security
Reporting to: Head of IT
Years of experience: 5+ years
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in computer science/information technology/cyber security and/or equivalent certification (CompTIA, Ethical Hacker, CISSP etc.)
Industry preferred: previous experience at a manufacturing company is desirable but not essential
Location:Thane
Working Days: 5 Days ( work from office )

Purpose: To develop cyber security policies, oversee their implementation, and ensure compliance using various tools.
Education: Bachelor’s/master's in computer science/information technology/cyber security and/or equivalent certification (CompTIA, Ethical Hacker, CISSP etc.)
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies. Use monitoring tools to detect and respond to security breaches and threats. Recommend and implement strategies to mitigate these vulnerabilities
- Engage with external cybersecurity vendors to implement their recommendations
- Define cybersecurity policies relating to data security, network security, access control, passwords etc. and engage regularly with users to ensure compliance
- Lead incident response in case of any security breach or failure to comply with security policies. Investigate and inform the relevant managers to take action
- Explore path to achieving compliance with ISO 27001 standards
- Develop and implement backup strategies to safeguard critical data. Create and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure quick recovery from data loss events.
Skills and experience required:
· Cybersecurity Frameworks: Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST) and experience in implementing security policies and practices.
· Security Tools: Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
· Incident Response and Compliance: Ability to conduct security audits, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
· Data Protection: Experience in data encryption, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
· End-User Support: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide technical assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
· Collaboration: Experience working with external cybersecurity vendors and implementing their recommendations.
· Backup and Recovery: Some knowledge of developing and implementing backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
· Network and System Administration: Good understanding of network infrastructure, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other IT hardware.
· Operating Systems: Strong experience with Windows (11 and Server) and Red Hat Linux environments.
· Scripting and Automation: Proficient in shell scripting using Windows PowerShell and Unix Terminal for automating routine tasks.
Personal characteristics:

· Patient and capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues
