As a Database SMEin the Global Architecture team, you’re at the core of one of the largest services in our global organization. As part of a small group of technology experts, you will identify, recommend, and implement innovative solutions and best practices to continuously improve, expand and protect our core server and systems supporting multiple large services and all our associates, worldwide.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
As the Database SME, you will identify, recommend, and implement innovative solutions and best practices to continuously improve, expand, and protect our Core Infrastructure solutions, supporting multiple large services and all our associates, worldwide.
Your experience in the IT Infrastructure industry will allow you to support migrations, integrations, and improvement projects, related to our Core Infrastructure Services to support the growth of our businesses through, for example, mergers and acquisitions , Infrastructure modernization and maturity etc.
Must Have’s:
Technical:
- Good experience in Oracle and MS SQL Server Database Administration, preferable 10+ years.- Strong experience on Migrations and Upgrades for the ongoing upgrade/migration project.- Good experience on Unix/Linux administration is preferred, this is needed for the upgrade/migration project.- Hands-on experience on DB BAU related tasks of both Oracle and MS SQL Server, performance tuning, user management, refreshes.- Strong experience on Netapp/SMO/SnapManager/SnapCenter for Linux/Windows.- Strong experience of UNIX shell/Python/PowerShell scripting.- Strong experience with Grid Control OEM 13c.
Operations:
- Manage and mentor the team associates related to technical as well as process.- Manage DB assets, reports related to the agreed contractual SLA's.- Join the MIM calls related to databases and handle them as per process.- Audit the databases every month/quarter as per needs, to maintain them as per client's policies. Implement and suggest security policies to the client.- Ability to work across other infrastructure teams is imperative.
