LOCATION: Altimus 16th Floor, Ashram Rd, behind Sales India, Shreyas Colony, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 38000+
WORK HOURS: 07:00 PM TO 04:00 AM (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)
Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and manage incoming invoices, ensuring proper approval and accurate coding to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.
• Maintain and update vendor information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including accounts payable aging reports.
• Handle inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding payment status and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure seamless and efficient accounts payable operations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of schedules and reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and information as required.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
