Job Description: Accountant (US Taxation)

Position Title: Accountant - US Taxation
Location: Remote Work
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file federal tax returns, including individual (Form 1040), corporate (Form 1120), and partnership (Form 1065) returns.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and maintain proper documentation.
• Manage quarterly estimated tax payments and annual filings.
• Prepare and file state and local tax returns for businesses and individuals across multiple states.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax, use tax, and other applicable state taxes.
• Provide proactive tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Assist with federal and state tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
• Ensure timely filing and payment of federal and state payroll taxes, including Social Security and Medicare (FICA) contributions.
• Collaborate with the finance department to prepare tax provisions and ensure tax liabilities are accurately reflected in financial statements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or EA certification preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. tax accounting, including federal, state, and local tax compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. Tax Code, IRS regulations, and state tax laws.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
