Position Summary

This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of client's supply chain software systems and have the opportunity to shape the next generation warehousing technologies, work process and customer experience. This will own and drive large and complex, or multiple smaller efforts into production that have significant impact at enterprise level. Additionally, will be responsible for integrating supply chain systems to third party vendor system to support operations for an end-to-end Supply Chain solution. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, leading, and mentoring less experienced employees, supporting the customers, resolving problems and training as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create, test and support software applications.

Participate in design sessions with IT Architects and produce high- and low-level designs as necessary.

• Collaborate with other engineers in the team to deliver new capabilities. Coach and mentor other team members as needed.

• Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems in development and production environments.

• Responsible for others’ accurate work planning and execution, accurate project time tracking

• Review code and designs from other team members

• Provide suggestions on performance improvements of existing platform.

• Coordinate with product owners and business partners to gather requirements and document them as needed.

• Provide production support and being active team member of on-call rotation.

• Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.

Requirements:

• 8+ years’ experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using Java and Spring Boot with microservices architecture.

• Hands-on experience with developing and implementing modern RESTful API’s, DevOps, CICD, Cloud enabled services (Container, both on prem and in the cloud.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure - GCP, PCF etc.

• In depth knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka etc.

• Assist with software / Data design (Database Schema, Storage considerations, Data Mapping, Data Storage Efficiency, NOSQL Data Considerations, RDMS to NOSQL considerations, API design including call signature, schema, business logic, data access, resilience, logging, supportability etc.) • Assist with system design / Business Analysis (server layout, availability, disaster recovery planning, production deployments etc.)

• Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security and highly scalable systems design.

• Work within the Agile/Scrum framework for software development (Atlassian tool suite desired)

• Develop optimized code for both scalability and performance.

• Create or maintain build environments for software products.

• Some who build products with a focus on testability, someone who loves test coverage (well versed with Mockito and JUnit)

• Proficiency with data exchange languages XML, JSON, EDIFACT etc.

• Excellent communication skills.

Additional: (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Kotlin, Spanner and Postgres is a plus.

• Experience with Supply Chain or Logistics domain software development is a plus.

• Some experience with job scheduling workflows

• A good understanding of git workflows

• Some experience Kubernetes, Rancher & Docker Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent required

What you'll do:
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration, alignment, and effective communication.
• Utilize advanced project management tools to monitor KPIs, milestones, and deliverables, addressing potential roadblocks to keep projects on schedule.
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards, conducting thorough reviews to meet or exceed customer expectations.

What you'll bring:
• 6+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, with ownership of programs/products/features, scoping requirements, planning milestones, and project management.
• 3+ years of experience leading software development projects with aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
• Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms, adept at communicating upwards, outwards, and downwards.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
• Experience with project delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
• Experience with object-oriented development and design, preferably in both client and server development solutions.
• Experience and proficiency with web technologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
• Preferred: Experience in SAP/Payroll, including configuration, implementation, and project management. Familiarity with SAP HCM modules, payroll processes, and compliance.
