About the Smart TV Engineering Team
Our team is passionate about building high-performance, reliable software for embedded systems. We collaborate across UI, Middleware, and Hardware layers to deliver seamless video and audio experiences. As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation, directly impacting Walmart’s digital entertainment strategy.
What You’ll Do
• Design, develop, and test embedded software for Smart TV platforms
• Integrate and optimize video/audio features across device layers
• Ensure quality and performance for diverse video streams and codecs
• Develop unit and system-level tests in a BDD framework
• Mentor and train junior engineers
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience
• Expertise in C/C++ (C++17+) and embedded system architecture
• Experience with RTOS/Linux-based systems and resource management
• Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• (Preferred) Knowledge of Smart TV standards, HAL, audio/video processing, BDD frameworks, and modern C++ design patterns

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
