Job Description
As a senior member of UI & UX practice team at Impetus, you will collaborate with clients, internal product teams, UI engineers, UX and visual designers to develop best of class user interfaces for web, mobile and tablets.
Our objective is to deliver highly engaging and elegant front-end applications using latest web technologies and frameworks, design patterns and best practices for various engagements, including customer projects and internal IP development initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Team mentoring, handling client communication and correspondence
• Provide leadership in UX Practice through design & analysis, code reviews and best practices
• Collaborate with clients and internal product teams to understand their expectations and requirements
• Proactively identify architectural gaps and weaknesses, and recommend appropriate solutions for existing project engagements
• Collaborate with lead, coach, mentor and direct a team of UI engineers, user experience designers, and visual designers to deliver best of class user interfaces for web, mobile and tablets
• Provide functional / non-functional, design, and code reviews
• Identify and evolve common tools stack, design and develop reusable frameworks / components with an aim to standardize and accelerate user interface development across various user interface development projects
Technical Skills :
• At least 4 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development life cycle
• Proficient in modern UI development using Angular, JavaScript / ES6 and HTML5 / CSS3
• Backend expertise using Node.js, Express and any SQL / NoSQL database
• Good experience with responsive web design (RWD)
• Hands-on with unit testing using frameworks like Mocha, Jasmine / Karma, Jest / Enzyme, RTL
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
Good to have :
• Knowledge of data visualization libraries (D3, JIT etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud based UI development and serverless frameworks like Amplify, Firebase, Azure Web Apps
