About this opportunity: ICC Sydney are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Ushers to join our Customer Service and Live Events team, working across ICC Sydney’s Convention Centre, Exhibition Centre, and ICC Sydney Theatre. These positions will be responsible for all frontline customer service across the various conferences; exhibitions & Live Events held at our venues. Customer Service and Live Events Ushers are the first point of contact for all clients and guests attending events at our venues, it’s important that our team are aligned with the following duties: Greet patrons upon entry and exit of the venue, while providing world-class, friendly experience to all clients and guests. Provide information, direction and assistance to patrons locating facilities such as rest rooms, theatre seating and VIP functions. Distribute event materials such as lanyards, programs, or promotional items as required. Monitoring patrons conduct to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests. Manning of the Customer service desk and cloakroom duties. Aid clients and delegates under discretion from management. Assist with accessibility support, including guiding guests with mobility needs or using assistive devices. Why ICC Sydney? Required Skills & Experience: Demonstrate prior experience in customer facing roles and have a passion for customer service. Excellent communication skills Willingness to accept direction and work individually or within a team. Can do attitude to all tasks, without compromise of safety. Have immaculate personal presentation and grooming to meet 5 Star Standards. Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster. This position may involve early starts and/or late finishes depending on business levels or as required by events. The position involves long periods of standing. Valid working rights in Australia.
