Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to drive product development for a d2C jewelry brand making lab-grown diamond jewelry. Job responsibilities includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities: Planning and developing merchandising strategies Analysing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs Collaborating with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales Partner with design, sales, and merchandising teams in executing presentations to meet customer specific needs based on current trends Organizing customer presentations and assist in preparation for meetings Help pull product for each meeting based on customer needs Photograph styles, create new SKU numbers and data entry to our inventory system Assist design team direction as needed. Communication with manufacturing sourcing new designs and components as well as developing new styles Regular research of retail and media as well as trend services Maximise customer interest and sales levels by suggesting campaigns appropriately Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc Pricing products Requirements and skills Proven working experience in merchandising Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong listening, presentation and decision making skills Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers Must have the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a very fast paced environment Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once; strong time management skills Maintain a positive and energetic attitude Work well with others; MUST be a team player Outstanding organization skills
