Ensures compliance with established policies, practices, protocols, and possessional and public health standards
Assess, teach and administer immunizations, tuberculin testing, and/or any other services according to policies and procedures
Accepts lead positions and manage, train and oversee volunteers and paperwork assigned to the clinic, as needed
Performs functions and documentation requirements according to the Community Services Policy & Procedure Manual
Provides cost-effective care within the fiscal parameters allotted
Exercise prudent, efficient and safe use of medical supplies, nursing bags and contents, vaccines, and any other medical equipment protecting them from theft, abuse and weather at all times
Has financial responsibility for all unaccounted, missing or damaged vaccines, monies, and or supplies
Informs the Coordinator or Director immediately of any patient incidents and/or clinic concerns
Administers around 25 vaccinations per hour
Participates in annual influenza orientations
Completes all clinic paperwork and returns all clinic documents in a timely manner
Has knowledge of and utilizes defensive driving skills
Effectively communicates with all staff, volunteers and clients
Possesses the ability to deal with abrupt schedule changes during routine working hours and the potential to work in undesirable geographic areas, as scheduled
Employee has access to patient Protected Health Information and will keep such information confidential and will be held accountable under HIPAA/HITECH regulations
