Open-ended 35 Hours per week
Bioresearch & Veterinary Services is seeking an animal care van driver.
The Opportunity
Driving a university vehicle transport supplies, consumables and animals between BVS animal facilities. Plan your route and load the vehicle to match this route. Undertake animal cage/tank/drinking bottle cleaning, with facility domestic duties and equipment maintenance, where required.
Essential
Your skills and attributes for success:
• Basic understanding of, and ability to apply, health and safety procedures in the workplace
• Accuracy and ability to follow instruction
• Good communication skills
• Hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence
• Clean driving record
Desirable
• Previous driving role experience
• Understand good animal welfare and best customer service

About The Team
Bioresearch & Veterinary Services (BVS) are responsible for the housing, care and management of animals used in biomedical research at the university. Around 120 BVS staff provide Home Office, veterinary, and technical support for our researchers to ensure optimal animal welfare, high quality research, and compliance with all relevant legislation across multiple sites.
