Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Van Driver. This role involves the occasional manual lifting, following a route laid out by company on app, most locations have FLT on site.
Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicle.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times whilst adhering to legal driving hours and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
Communicate clearly with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid full driver’s licence that can drive a Van Drive or equivalent qualification.
Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Demonstrated ability to operate safely in diverse environments while maintaining professionalism under pressure. This role requires individuals who are organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and service quality throughout their duties.
