Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, packages, or passengers to their destinations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. You will also handle, load, and unload potentially heavy items, and be responsible for the restocking of equipment as needed.
Duties
• Safely operate a van to transport goods, materials, or passengers to assigned locations.
• Load and unload items, including potentially heavy or bulky materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Ensure proper handling of paperwork, including delivery notes, invoices, and logs.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized van interior and exterior.
• Restock equipment and supplies as necessary, ensuring the van is always prepared for the next delivery or service.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or passengers.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of heavy items, using proper lifting techniques and equipment when required.
Experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy loads.
• Experience in managing and restocking equipment and supplies.
• Familiarity with GPS devices, maps.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.70-£12.65 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
