Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at a well-established garage in Wimbledon, South London.
The Role:
Perform vehicle diagnostics and repairs
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing
Execute complex mechanical repairs
Handle electrical system diagnostics
Maintain accurate service records
Ensure workshop compliance with safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
Determine the root cause of problems and implement effective solutions
Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
Stay up-to-date with manufacturer guidelines and industry developments
Foster strong relationships with colleagues and customers to provide excellent service
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified mechanic
NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (desirable)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with modern vehicle systems and technologies
Valid UK driving license
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
