Job description
Vacancy:
• Light Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics – with diagnostic experience

Salary:
• Fixed salary £38,000 – £50,000 per year
• Plus overtime available at 1.5 x rate if wanted
• NOTE we don’t put targets on our staff, or have a performance bonus scheme – we believe in paying a fixed salary

Hours:
• Monday to Friday – 8 hour daily shift (40 hours per week)
• With flexible working chosen between the hours of 7.30am to 5:30pm
• Only 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am-12pm (paid at time and a half)

• Motorsave – Fiat, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen & Ford Commercial Service Centre
• Barkan Way, Swinton, Manchester, Lancashire, M27 8SF

Typical responsibilities of this role include:
• Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines
• Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
• Carry out diagnosis, repair and evaluation of customer vehicles
• Diagnose complex symptoms across a range of vehicles
• Complete relevant documentation (job sheets/cards, service reports) in line with warranty and dealer requirements
• Ensure that workshop housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Undertake additional workshop and dealer support as required

Skills and experience required:
• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent
• Ideally with 3 years experience
• Ideally capable of diagnosing a variety of faults
• Previous Light Goods Vehicle maintenance experience would be an advantage
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
