About the Role
Are you a skilled vehicle technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge HMT vehicles and specialized products? We're seeking a talented Vehicle Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and servicing our innovative fleet. The day-to-day element of the role is to provide mechanical services to deliver light, medium and heavy grade repairs and maintenance. Specifically, this is about ensuring fleet availability through planned and unplanned maintenance. It requires the willingness to work with individuals from different aspects of the business, including engineers, technicians, and supply chain coordinators.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Conduct vehicle and equipment fit out, maintenance and service tasks on HMT vehicles and other Supacat products.
Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
Where appropriately trained and certified, verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems, and confirming safe and functional operation post-repair
Support other Supacat technicians as required
Inspect other work as delegated
Responsible for ensuring compliant safety practices at all times.
Provide advice and support to engineering and production staff
Support the conduct of local trials and validation activities, assisting with set-up, monitoring, and documentation as required.
Deliver work on agreed schedule.
What We're Looking For
Trade qualified Mechanic (LV or HD and willing to learn)
Professional approach with strong integrity and ethics
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Technical proficiency with diagnostic tools and vehicle systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be able to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance and must have the right to work in Australia.
