Job Description
Procurement Managers are responsible for ensuring that NAB derives maximum value from its external spend through leadership and support of their team in the execution and implementation of structured market engagements.
• Compliance - Ensure that all procurement arrangements comply with group policy with regards to onboarding and vendor selection.
• Benefits - Identify and implement opportunities for procurement savings.
• Service - Helping Business Units deliver their strategy by achieving good sourcing outcomes within SLA’s.

People Leadership capabilities:
• Lead and motivate a team of direct reports
• Contribute to the individual development team members through the identification of skill needs, gaps and recommended closure options. As well as regular feedback on day to day performance.
• As required, contribute to the development of the department annual plan and budgets
• Create work plans/schedules for the relevant team based on contract expiries and upcoming Business Unit plans by interpreting the impact on delivery for the area.
• Ensure work done in the team meets all compliance requirements established through NAB Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
• Establish, develop and foster relationships with cross-functional peers and stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding of requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of activities undertaken by the Strategic Sourcing team through the review and development processes and disciplines for Strategic Sourcing.
• Produce significant financial and operational benefits and cost reduction for the organisation.
• Ensure sourcing and contracting disciplines are applied in the execution of requirements by team members as appropriate.
• Ensure there is a strong level of data accuracy, process and system (Sourceline) discipline applied by the team in all sourcing engagements.
Experience
• Preference for 5-10 years’ experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, vendor mgt or contract management and leadership experience
Qualification Requirements
• Tertiary Qualification in Business Administration or Finance
• Any accreditation or certificates relevant to procurement and/or Leadership
