As the first of its kind in Far North Queensland, Hemingway's offers a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can enjoy handcrafted beers perfect for the tropical climate and dishes made from fresh local produce. Both venues are ideal for hosting weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, catering to both small and large groups.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Venue Manager located in Port Douglas, QLD. The Venue Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, developing and managing event plans, and maintaining the venue's budget. The Manager will also coordinate events, manage bookings, and ensure all guests have a memorable experience. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
Proficiency in Venue Management and Event Management
Experience in Budgeting and Financial Management
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently
Experience in the hospitality or brewery industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred but not required
