Job Description
We're looking for a Venue Manager to help lead the floor and keep the Felix experience doing what it does. This is a part-time role running approximately 25–30 hours a week across Wednesday to Saturday, covering lunch and dinner services. It's a four-day week with real structure and real scope to grow for the right person.
What the role looks like day to day:
Leading the floor during service and setting the tone for the team
Managing bookings and event enquiries as they come in
Overseeing stock, stocktake, and ordering... keeping things running without things running out
Rostering and managing team members with fairness and clarity
Solving the inevitable problems that come with a busy venue, calmly and on the fly
What we're looking for:
2–3 years in hospitality, with some leadership or management experience behind you
Bar experience and a solid base of wine knowledge - we can absolutely build on what you know, but you need to care about what's in the glass
Strong people skills, both with guests and with the team you're leading
Someone who can think on their feet and problem-solve without it becoming a drama
Organised enough to stay on top of the operational side, but personable enough that guests feel it when you're on the floor
What's in it for you:
Four-day working week: Wednesday to Saturday, so you have a genuine long weekend, every weekend
A venue with real character and a team that's invested in what they do
Part-time with genuine room to grow the role if that's the direction you want to go
The chance to have a real say in how Felix runs and continues to grow
If Felix sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us a bit about your background and why this one caught your eye.
Pay: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour
Benefits:
Employee discount
Free drinks
Free food
