Venue Manager - Marrickville Tavern
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large Sydney based hotel group which encourages career growth opportunities.
Marrickville Tavern is part of the Sonnel Hospitality Group which owns and operates multiple venues throughout Sydney. Whilst we have been established in the hotel industry for more than 30 years, we are always looking to increase our hotel portfolio, thus ensuring on-going career development and promotion, for those employees that display positive intent, respect and a willingness to learn.
Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant Inner West, Marrickville Tavern is your go-to destination for a laid-back sports bar experience. With a relaxed atmosphere and a friendly vibe, we invite you to unwind and enjoy great local food, drinks, and live sports.

Key responsibilities include:
Creating a culture where the team feel safe, valued and enjoy coming to work.
Delivering game-changing customer experiences.
Using initiative to ensure sales targets are met.
Extensive knowledge of Food & Beverage, TAB and Gaming Operations.
Working closely with senior management, support office who share the same vision.
Compliance, stock management, training and developing of the team
Managing the day-to-day operations of the venue.
The successful applicant will:
Essential requirements for this position are Current RSA, RCG & ARCG Competency Cards
Be a motivational leader who encourages and develops the team to ensure an exceptional customer experience each time.
Minimum of 1-2 years of management experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of managing day-to-day operations of a venue with strong and complex trade
Hands on approach in your leadership and management
A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent people skills
A passion for the hospitality industry with the desire to progress within the company
This role requires completion of a National Police Check as part of our Employee Due Diligence process.
