The Whippet Club is a bold all-day venue opening in early October on Oxford Street, Leederville — where top-tier pub fare meets live music, DJs, and full-throttle sport screenings. We’re looking for a Venue Manager to take charge and help launch something special from the ground up.
About the Role:
You’ll be the face and engine of the venue — leading a passionate team, overseeing everything from chilled daytime service to pumping weekend nights, and helping shape the culture from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Running daily operations across floor, bar, and kitchen
Recruiting, training, and leading a fresh new team
Delivering live music nights, DJ sessions, and major sport screenings
Managing bookings, rosters, inventory, and supplier relationships
Collaborating closely with ownership to bring the vision to life
You Bring:
Solid experience managing a busy venue, bar, or restaurant
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Calm, confident presence with great service instincts
Experience with live entertainment and sport-centric venues
A sharp eye for detail, and a real passion for hospitality
