Manager of Venues Strategy and Operations

Savvy, enthusiastic, results-driven hospitality pro sought to join our fun and fast-paced team as our Manager of Venue Strategy immediately!

RGI events is an award-winning special events production firm and design atelier providing 360-degree strategic services for discerning clients around the world. We connect organizations to audiences through the power of shared experiences, drawing on over two decades of successes and an unshakable belief in what can be achieved when we gather together.

Our clients include LOREAL USA, The Washington Nationals, Hilton, Nike, OPI, KISS Cosmetics, La Roche Posay, SkinCeuticals, Dior, The American Red Cross, The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Hewlett-Packard, SpaceX, Project HOPE, The European Union Delegation to the United States, The Atlantic Council and more.

In addition to our production prowess, we own/operate and operate/manage multiple award-winning, high-volume special event venues in the Mid-Atlantic, under an ever expanding umbrella. Our venues are celebrations of a sense of place, focused on experience and inviting guests to live in the moment.

Starting Salary is $80 - $88,000/year depending on prior demonstrated success, experience and qualifications, with an additional metrics-driven bonus structure averaging an additional $40-50k+ per year.

Day to day you will be…

Working as the division lead to ensure success, efficiency and profitability per property across our portfolio of spaces at every stage of development and operations, while creating new opportunities, for our spaces, RGI events and our family of endorsed brands –

This includes directing and ensuring success of all development, administrations, marketing and operations efforts for 4 venue spaces with an ever expanding portfolio and managing subordinate staff of the venues individually to achieve their objectives

Key Roles:

As a key member of the RGI events leadership team, you function as the top banana of the Hospitality imprint, holding overall accountability for the entire operational, commercial, experiential, and people performance of 4 venues on the east coast and counting

You’ll develop and drive the venue strategies individually to achieve our goals and build a long-term vision for each individual property

You’ll hold project management responsibility for our venue spaces under development ensuring each property launches with sophistication on time, on budget and achieves profitability quickly.

You’ll build the people team at each one of our spaces, driving the search, recruitment and hiring of leadership personnel for each space – and monitoring the further hiring of each space’s org chart by that leadership

An innovative thinker, you’re brave enough to challenge what may be regarded industry status quo and will drive your team to create groundbreaking hospitality experiences

With ultimate responsibility for performance, you’ll oversee all profit and loss accounts for each venue in your region, in collaboration with individual property managers and leadership.

Closely monitoring financial performance, you’ll provide direction and make decisions where needed to protect and drive profitability, including labor scheduling, expense control, sales forecasting, annual budgeting process and month end performance analysis

Our guest experience is central to success, and you’ll be obsessive about any detail that has the potential to make or break this

You’re accountable for ensuring the whole team at each property delivers exceptional service and equally, you’ll hold them to account for performance in close collaboration with leadership at each property

You’ll ensure that all regulatory compliance is maintained, validity and thoroughness of licensing, ensure health, safety and labor relations protocol is established at each space, inventory accuracy is maintained and support key administrative needs surrounding property ownership, land and property stewardship and operating agreements

Key Qualifications

Hold a Hospitality or similar field of study BA along with 7 years industry experience.

MUST have functional mastery of PPT, Xcel, Word, Canva, Squarespace, Google Business Tools (Drive, Forms, etc) social media platforms (FB, Twitter, Insta, Pinterest) - photo editing/enhancing software or apps familiarity is a plus - we are a Mac office

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail

Elite time management, problem solving and organizational skills

Measurable success in a similar role and cutting edge industry knowledge

A commercial, strategic mindset with experience of developing and opening properties and successful track record of leading teams to exceptional financial and operational performance – rooted in creativity and innovation.
