Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care
Location: Calgary, AB
Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre welcomes a full time Client Care Coordinator to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure and customer service focused:
• Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
• Prior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology and VCA Woofware
• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
• Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
• Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
• Attention to detail with above average time management skills
• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
• Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
• Must be flexible and available to work shift work (early as 6am and late as 2am), weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Previous veterinary experience or graduated from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
