Location: Calgary, AB
McKenzie Towne Animal Hospital is looking to welcome a dependable, outgoing Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. You will be working full-time at McKenzie Towne, but you will also rotate through Horizon Group when necessary.

Have completed a two-year diploma in a Veterinary Technician program; eligible to register with OAVT

New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! Preparing for your VTNE, we can help!

Surgical preparation, assistance and patient recovery

Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records

Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
