Role Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Own and be responsible for the delivery of all outcomes to support performance management requirements of Transaction Banking business. Help establish a high performing team who will deliver core outcomes. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, business context and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development.

Business Support
• Provide timely and accurate financial information / MIS to enable strategic decision making. This would cover a wide range of areas including pipeline and sales performance, volume trend analysis, operations productivity, pricing and margin sensitivity and competitor benchmarking.
• Engage in regular deep dives across P&L and balance sheet topics, using advanced analytical techniques and tools, to identify risks and opportunities and address strategic business challenges.
• Drive clear, concise and transparent reporting of TB performance for all key management forums including Monthly Business Review, Weekly Financial reviews and all ad-hoc reviews.
• Design and maintain strategic scalable performance information management infrastructure to deliver quality MIS and Business analytics for the TB Business globally.
• Support finance transformation initiatives to drive reports simplification, standardization, finance efficiencies and productivity.
• Drive and create opportunities for business patterning with transaction Banking business heads.
• Responsible for creating clear narratives for both internal as well as external consumptions.

Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness
• Ensure the provision for ongoing training and development of people and holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled, qualified for their roles. Also create backups and ensure that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
• Actively drive and support the finance activities relating to business realignment and restructures including change management and restatement of financial and management reporting, corporate plans, reporting structures, and financial systems.
• Ensuring that the team is taken up the operating model. Coach, inspire and motivate the team ensuring that each individual achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda.
• Leading and driving a global process agenda that is focussed on rationalisation and simplification.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Chartered Accountant or MBA with 15 years of relevant finance experience in FP&A.
• A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry.
• Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis and interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where candidate does not have direct authority and build on unstructured formative situations.
• A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.
• High degree of skill and experience in authoring senior management presentations, documents and other performance based narrative communications.
• Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.
• Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes.
• Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to culturally orient in diverse and international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
• A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner.
• Experienced in corporate banking booking models, accounting treatments, primarily for Cash and Trade.
• Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
• Should have worked in a business finance function with strong FP&A background.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
