Join our team as the Vice President, Affordable Housing/Community Development Portfolio Manager, where you will play a critical role in underwriting, closing, and managing multifamily construction loans for Low Income Housing Tax Credit Developments across the U.S. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional client service while making sound credit decisions in alignment with banking policies.
• Utilize your extensive knowledge of bank products, processes, and systems to troubleshoot and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Coordinate loan closings with clients, attorneys, and the closing department, ensuring thorough communication throughout.
• Act as a primary resource for client escalations, consistently striving to not just meet but exceed client expectations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and key influencer within the business, working collaboratively to achieve strategic objectives.
• Analyze issues to recommend effective solutions, drawing on data-driven insights to inform lending decisions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to address strategic challenges and support business initiatives.
• Oversee the preparation of credit proposals and presentations to optimize client engagement and maximize returns.
• Manage the ongoing monitoring of asset performance and client relationships, ensuring optimal results.
• Provide analytical support and financial analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients.
• Work in partnership with internal stakeholders, ensuring access to detailed client information.
• Minimize risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies during the lending process.
• Foster effective relationships with both internal and external partners.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities while managing independent, non-routine situations.
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven technical proficiency and extensive knowledge in the affordable housing sector.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaborative and teamwork abilities.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• In-depth experience with data-driven decision-making.
Salary: $88,800.00 - $165,600.00
Pay Type: Salaried
