We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Global Finance team.
Job Introduction
• Support pproduction of ALCO reporting with support of other members in the team, manage treasury risks in the business and provide ALCM components to regulatory and financial consolidated reporting.
• Liaise with the business, EXCO and Board, to communicate all regulatory parameters in place across liquidity, capital and interest rate risk are met.
• Support in the capital funding plan and ensure optimum utilisation of the capital.
• Develop good understanding of the local and group RWA and actively participate in RWA monitoring working group.
• Deliver net interest income metrics for each business line to senior management and engage with business to drive right pricing.
• Lead teams and provide guidance to compile ALCM notes and disclosures for financial and regulatory consolidated reporting.
• Represent HSBC in regular meetings with external regulators, auditors and ratings agencies.
Principal Responsibilities
• Ensure ongoing management of IRRBB through periodic tracking and reporting, in line with local regulatory and group guidelines and proactive communication with all stakeholders regarding developments around TP and IRR. To provide a forward looking view to the ALCO on these matters along with delivering analysis around sensitivities and provide relevant recommendations to the ALCO.
• Ensure strengthening of the measurement and transfer of liquidity related costs and recharges through robust mechanisms in line with the FIM requirements.
• Preparation of the monthly ALCO pack and ensure timely and accurate submission along with formulating objective papers on relevant issues.
• Prepare and analyse the Interest rate risk reports for RBI and also assist in handling the RBI Annual Financial Inspection (AFI).
• Review of all RBI circulars/guidelines pertaining to ALCM and update the relevant stakeholders with adequate information and action.
• Periodic training for HBAP INM stakeholders to educate the relevant staff with the principles and measures for asset, liability and capital management.
• Provide quick responses to ALCM ad-hoc requests from the Business and external regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting. Requirements
• 5 – 10 years of experience in financial service industry, with previous experience in Liquidity and Funding management role.
• A Post graduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related Business discipline.
• Good understanding of various products offered by the bank and liquidity treatment per RBI regulations.
• Keep abrest of the latest RBI regulatory requirement.
• Significant knowledge of microsoft excel functions and practical experience of process review.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Digital skills: Experience in working on big data sets using various tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Phython etc.
