Job Summary
• The Vice President, Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) is a key Leadership role within Business Performance Operations delivering Business partnering, Cluster head support and Country Performance management.
Broad areas covered within this role include
• End to End ownership for Cluster on business performance reporting and analytics requirements
• Strategic direction and oversight of creating and leveraging standardised Performance Reporting through digital assets
• Develop and implement agreed Finance Business Partnering support model to enable business in achieving their targets.
• Build target state organisation in line with Bank objectives
• Drive implementation of Bank's strategic initiatives, shaping the future design of processes and the requirements for the new technology.
• Strong understanding of CIB business and leadership skills with experience in leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities Business & Process - Segment and Cluster /Country Performance management
• Develop an effective organisation structure, well balanced to achieve process standardisation and deliver specialist business / functions advisory capability
• Ongoing re-calibration of cluster operating model and invest in talent to balance efficient standard process delivery along with content driven analytics and decision support
• Drive Business support for Reporting, Planning, and analytics to support business growth
• Deliver organisational synergy through CoE's enabling bandwidth to create SMEs to support change delivery and other value-added outcomes
• Partner with Business Heads and CFOs to drive and manage Country Performance for Cluster / Country performance management
• Deliver transition of all processes to new Financial Reporting and Planning systems
• Build high performance Business Finance teams driving global standard, optimised service offerings
• Drive Centralised and Standardised processes through targeted Transitions and creating optimal Operating model across countries
• Drive Continuous Improvement in the DNA of the team which delivers efficiency.
• Support implementation of tools to contribute to finance organization design, outcomes, and requirements
People and Culture
• To lead, inspire and motivate the teams ensuring that everyone achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda
• Enhance overall culture of the organisation, with improved My Voice scores, through targeted actions
• Build and execute a People Engagement strategy that encompasses timely & relevant updates as well as social engagement to improve overall employee well being
• Employ, engage, and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
• Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Controls & Risk Management
• Represent BPO in-Service Review engagements with CFOs, provide management insights and address any CFO level actions from the Review meetings
• Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising and identify and manage forward looking risks.
• Through assignment of direct and indirect reports, establish and maintain an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing compliance, regulatory, financial crime, operational and reputational risks
