Chief Operating Officer&aposs (COO) Office
The COO Office supports our COO to streamline operations and align them with strategic goals. You will work with the COO, Heads of Departments, and stakeholders across GIC to achieve operational excellence.
Cyber Security, Information & Technology Risk Management
You will be a part of an independent risk management function to protect the firms information technology assets, including business data, from external threats and operational risks, and to facilitate the firms digitalisation journey in a secure manner.
What impact can you make in this role
The CSAD Cybercrime Specialist is responsible for identifying and assessing cybercrime threats specifically evaluating emerging cybercrime trends, scams, and AI generated threats. The role involves developing strategy, analysing cybercrime trends, actively driving preventative measures to mitigate cyber-attacks. The specialist will work closely with CSR teams to develop and implement tactical and strategic plans to protect GICs systems, information, and our investments. In addition, the individual will work with our investment services teams, deal teams, legal and compliance, relevant local and regional law enforcement agencies, and external industry partners to mitigate emerging cybercrime and AI generated threats or trends.
What will you do as a Cybercrime Specialist
The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of cybercrime principles, understand how geopolitical events are shaping the cybercrime landscape, strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, the capability to lead projects independently, and strong proficiency in briefing and engaging senior leaders and external partners.
Conduct research on existing and emerging cybercrime trends that may impact GIC, including our investments, vendors, and the Financial Sector overall
Analyse cybercrime threat intelligence information to develop evidence-backed analytic assessments, supported by a defined level of confidence
Engage various departments or divisions to understand impact of cybercrime within and outside the company
Ideate and operationalise capability to detect and manage cybercrime threats
Conduct briefings for internal partners, senior management, and presenting technical matters in an accessible manner for non-technical audiences when necessary
Support various stakeholders in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate cybercrime threats and protect the organizations systems, information, and our investment portfolios
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
Analytic experience in covering cybercrime activity including use of AI, with an emphasis on Financial Institutions including strong understanding of cybercrime tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
Good technical comprehension to provide tactical as well as strategic reporting and where appropriate customize technical details to intended audiences
Solid understanding on key drivers to cybercrime activity, such as geopolitics, regulatory environments, and emerging technology usage in the cybercrime landscape
Familiarity with cyber defence capabilities such as EDR, SOAR, NDR
7-11 years practitioner experience working in a cybercrime or similar function with cybercrime subject matter expertise
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Experience working with law enforcement agencies or in legal investigations of cybercrime activity
Familiar with cybercrime law, regulations, and compliance standards
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organisation
Familiarity with open-source intelligence research and methodologies
Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
