This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT TEAM
The Digital team at Parametric:
We are responsible for the development of Parametric’s client and partner web portals which support and enhance our client experience
We are building a robust Api platform to support client and partner integration and straight-through-processing of client servicing requests
We have an extensive product roadmap to deliver innovative investment tools, client servicing and rich portfolio/account level reporting through an online experience
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for individuals that have are passionate about agile software development and leading collaborative team efforts to design and deliver high quality, client facing systems of engagement. The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for providing thought leadership and people leadership to delivery teams while also contributing directly to the design, development, delivery and support of custom developed applications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the business unit and other team members locally and with colleagues in the US to understand and document requirements
Provide flexible solutions to complex business problems using our technology practices
Design and develop business tier components
Design and develop relational database models
Design and develop interactive web-based user interfaces
Design and develop integration solutions with 3rd party data providers and systems
Create unit/integration/functional tests
Contribute to evolution of our architecture to make it more flexible and easier to use
Follow our development process and guidelines
Conduct code reviews of other developers
Follow technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
SKILL SET
Required Experience: 10+ years
Skill set: .net - C# / AngularJS / SQL / Cloud Native Services
Primary Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering required
Agile development practice such as Kanban or Scrum
Experience building highly interactive web-based user interfaces using HTML, CSS, AngularJS
Working experience with Azure PaaS services
Experience with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB preferred) database platforms
Effective communication skills with business users and other developers and testers
Strong .Net and C# skills to implement object and service-oriented architecture
Asp.net core experience for both web and web api site development
OIDC and OAuth2 experience for implementing web Authentication and Authorization
Experienced with git source control and gitflow fundamentals
Experienced with contributing to automated test suites with unit, integration and web tests
Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
Experience supervising and guiding software development teams and fostering an engaging, collaborative environment.
Assertiveness balanced with a sensitivity toward and concern for people. The ability to create strong work ethics and committed teams, foster open dialogue, and promote individual and team success.
Ability to collaborate and partner across a diverse team tapping the strength and unique skills of every team member.
Good to Have Skills
Java and AWS experience a plus
Demonstrated experience mentoring developers within a team on agile development and clean coding practices
