The Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.
This role will be responsible to strategise and lead the Marketing initiatives for HNI / Overseas Indians (OI / NRI) in India and for any cross border marketing activities.
Principal Responsibilities
The role holder is responsible for:
• Creating and executing the annual marketing plan for HNI / OI customer segments in line with agreed business objectives. This includes all marketing activities : creating awareness for the proposition / product , designing acquisition campaigns, designing and executing engagement campaigns with existing customers for deepening relatioship and portfolio build and leading with any other innovation that favourably impacts the above activities.
• Driving excellence and agile execution with ad/media agency partners towards timely and quality delivery of campaigns and activities as per marketing plans
• Working with internal stakeholders (other marketing team members, risk stewards, sales, product teams etc) to roll out campaigns including events, social media, ATL /BTL
• Design and execution of necessary customers and sales brochures/enablers that support business/campaigns
• Management of annual marketing budgets as per plan and approvals
• Be the subject matter expert for the Bank on International /HNI marketing
• Assume day-to-day management of agencies and other third party suppliers to deliver campaigns on time and within budget
• Keep abreast of customer needs and latest Marketing trends within the industry via all opportunities whether face-to-face, online or via research
• Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets Requirements
• Appropriate graduate or a post graduate degree in Marketing from a reputed institute
• 7 + years of strong marketing experience in reputed companies / consumer banks/financial institutions, preferably handling NRIs
• Deep understanding of marketing fundamentals (online, ATL/BTL, events) and campaign management and agency management experience
• Understanding of retail banking products and services, preferably NRI segment
• Ownership, ability to work in cross functional teams, should be initiative driven and be able to articulate campaign thought for stakeholders.
