About the Role:
The Vice President of Human Resources - Europe is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Human Resources function across Europe. In this role, you will collaborate closely with regional HR Directors and senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving organizational performance, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with regional labor laws and regulations. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with a strong global perspective and the ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
• Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization’s business goals and long-term vision.
• Provide strategic counsel to the executive team on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
• Lead the HR team in creating initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Align HR strategies with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective implementation.
Talent Management:
• Design and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
Employee Relations and Culture:
• Foster an inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Manage employee relations to proactively address and resolve workplace issues.
• Champion the company’s values and culture, ensuring they are reflected in all HR initiatives.
• Empower HR and management to adopt a people-first, talent-centric mindset.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Ensure compensation practices are fair, equitable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
• Stay informed on market trends to maintain the company’s position as an employer of choice.
HR Operations and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all regional employment laws and regulations.
• This role will ensure that the HR team across Europe maintains full compliance with SOX regulations, adhering to all necessary audit and reporting standards.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and support the organization’s goals.
• Utilize HR metrics and analytics to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Integrate environmental considerations into HR-related programs and policies.
Organizational Development and Change Management:
• Lead initiatives to drive organizational change and enhance overall effectiveness.
• Develop programs that support the organization’s growth, including training, succession planning, and performance improvement.
• Partner with leadership to manage organizational changes in alignment with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of applicable experience, with significant experience in a global company.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business priorities, challenges, and external influencing factors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and facilitate discussions at all levels.
• Professional HR certification is preferred.
