Job Description
Testing Scope Creation:
• Collaborate with APOs to understand product scope, requirements and then define comprehensive test critical test scenario, strategies, appropriate test environment. Also, create the sign off sheet and follow up with Sign Off parties for timely lock down on the scope definition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, engage with scrum teams early during the design phase. Co-ordinate with upstream and downstream teams to understand the impact to factor in the critical test scenarios.
Test Data And Execution
• Outline sources of test data required for the testing and then define the sources for those test data. Define test scenarios and cases to verify the functionality and performance.
• Identify and track defects in JIRA and work closely with APOs to validate and with scrum teams for closure.
• Automation of Test Execution as much as possible automate the test cases by implementing automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
• Identify critical scenarios following risk based approach, suggest gating test criterion for each product release.
• Suggest right testing methods to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are covered.
Quality Process Improvements & Documentation
• Continuously evaluate quality assurance processes following within the product organization, and methodologies to enhance productivity.
• Document lessons learned from each release and socialize the actionable insights for improvements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed test reports, defect logs, and other relevant documentation to support the quality assurance process.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to drive product improvements.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Competencies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven 10+ experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Experience in agile methodologies and in Core Banking Applications/ Platforms.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and quality assurance methodologies.
• Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts in Core Banking domain.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
