Your background
• Minimum of 10+ years with hands-on experience in application support in the banking and finance industry
• Proven leadership experience, ability to motivate teams and drive execution, with performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver
• Ability to understand complex system interactions
• Strong background in UNIX, Linux, Wintel, Perl/Shell scripting, as well as ability to write SQL to extract, Oracle databases and JAVA
• Willingness to delve into issues and problems to determine root cause and with a desire to learn new products, applications and technology
• Experience in working with technical counterparts and in managing stakeholders at various levels of seniority within the organization
• Strong understanding and experience of Risk Management as well as having involvement in audit and regulatory assessments
• Incident management experience and ability to manage senior stakeholders through an issue
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is equally capable of working in a collaborative manner
• Experience using Industry standard monitoring and ticketing tools e.g. ITSM, Dynatrace
• Strong critical thinker with good problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to be clear and concise in communications of technical information to both technical and non-technical users in all organization levels
What You Can Expect
The Banking Production Services team is looking for a Senior Application Support Manager to lead the Application Production Services team in India to maintain stability of production applications that support payments processing systems for the India branch. The Production Services lead will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and the stability of the environment to best serve the banks business and customer needs.
What You Will Do
• Lead India Application Production Services team in providing production support and operational oversight for local payment applications
• Lead in the triaging of incidents impacting local payment systems as well as providing incident updates and status to key stakeholders
• Primary contact in the event of any IT Incident or System issues for stakeholders including India management, Business, regional and Global teams. Drive Incident Management, Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis
• Performing stability reviews and identifying recurring problems by partnering with other teams to develop long-term resolutions, including implementing preventative measures to minimize problems and production outages
• Partner with the Application Development, Application Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering/Architecture and other infrastructure teams to design/improve resiliency and stability of end to end environment to meet business objectives
• Ensuring incident, change and problem related service tickets are completed in a timely manner according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or assigned completion dates and meet data quality standards
• Ensure all risk related deliverables and required ARC/DR tests are completed within the expected timeframes
• Provide related operational metrics and reporting for local and regional management
• Support in triage for escalated issues and assist in determining potential impacts to local branch for global issues
• Participate in the delivery of new Banking initiatives and systems ensuring they are operationally ready for the onboarding to the production services tea
• Identifying and implementing operational improvements and opportunities for automation
• Lead/participate in audit exams/submission and ensure regulatory and compliance deliverables are met
• Develop and maintain support processes and operating procedures
• Support team members development and growth, providing feedback and coaching
