Global Investment Banking focuses on building long-term relationships with large corporations, financial institutions and financial sponsors, by providing strong advisory expertise and capitalizing on powerful M&A, corporate banking, treasury, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions. We have a significant presence in the Americas, Europe, Emerging Markets (ex-Asia) and Asia Pacific.
Job Description
• Collaborate with teams to create and deliver solutions that bring to bear the full breadth of the bank's capabilities - including strategic mergers and acquisitions advice, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance and structured products.
• Train and mentor junior bankers (Associates and Analysts) as they develop core investment banking skill sets.
• Expect to participate in client pitches, attend client meetings, lead execution on live transactions ensuring timetables are met, deliverables are executed properly and internal processes are covered.
• Generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients through in-depth research, financial modeling and industry analysis.
• Prepare and help deliver client presentations to generate deal flow and build your client network and experience
• Learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe.
• The position is based in Mumbai.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Law or other relevant area
• Execution experience in Technology, Media and/or Telecomm is preferred.
• Outstanding qualitative analytical skills, including fundamental financial analysis, accounting knowledge and solid financial modeling skills
• Confident in client facing communications and capable of delivering presentations in front of internal and external groups
• Knowledge in capital markets and M&A transaction execution is a plus
• Ability to work with other teams across the products and regions and willing to train and mentor the Associates/Analysts in the team
• Excellent in communication and proficient in English
