Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled video editor to work in short and long formats, taking footage shot by production teams and editing it based on project specifications. After showing a rough draft to stakeholders, they’ll be responsible for implementing the project notes.
Responsibilities
• Edit short- and long-form videos for website and social media accounts
• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
• Create rough and final cuts
• Take charge of video ideation and creation
• Ensure videos meet the cross-functional team's specifications and guidelines
• Ability to pick out attention-grabbing shots and Excellent storytelling skills
• Knowledge of basic editing principles
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
Preferred Skills
• Proven work experience as a Video Editor
• Must have Graphic design knowledge, experience will be an added advantage
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (like Premiere Pro and After Effects)
• Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Experience with high-resolution file transfer applications
